three ads on television and describe denotation, connotation and myth in them.
1st ad that I’ve chooses is Lipton yellow
label in which the producer wants to create a feeling of closeness and Apna Pan
with Lipton Tea. In the Denotation we see that a train, people talking in
train, young boy, girl and station then tea shop at station, people having cup
of tea. If we future in connotation we see that the train is very colorful and
attractive all people in the train are very fresh and cheerful, they are
talking with each other then train pumps the smoke and, the environment is very
friendly. The song of the ad is very nice but old “ chaye chahye …. Kon si
janab” the boy and girl sing this song very happily then train stops at the
station and every one run towards the tea shop because that is the best tea
Lipton. People holding the Lipton cups and enjoying the freshness of it. The ad
is represent in very innovative and creative way in which the atmosphere of the
train is very friendly and all people are very fresh and happy. By the song
producer want to create a relationship with past and present because Lipton is
very old brand but the consumer rate is still very high.
2nd ad is Telenor Talk Showk ad of their
new package in which they want to show that we are not more far from are loved
once which live in other parts of the country, they wanted to create a
closeness factor among families and friends. The production and style of
conveying the message is very good and different. In the first scene we see a
boy, news paper, home environment, in next scene we see old man and boy, next
we see a man talking on telephone etc. in connotation we see that in first
scene the boy is reading a news paper and he reads a telenor ad of new package
and he gets very excited that the telenor is giving very good package to
communicate with our loves ones .He explain that all day you can talk free all
over the country and innovative thing is that they presented the happiness and
closeness in such way that from where he gets call he feels that he is there with
the family which is very new and adorable.
3rd ad is a public service message by
Education Commission in which they want to aware the public by telling them
that if the schools will remain close always for new new issues of our society
than how our future will be secure because children and youth are our future
and they are the ones on which we are dependent for the future if we look into
denotation we see a father, a boy, a car, teacher and a school. In connotation
we see that the father is taking his son to school but when they reach at the
school gate they will become very depressed because school gate is close
because of strike and the teacher will tell them all this. The producer want to
tell the audiences that please stop doing such things which effect the
students. The production convey their message very effectively and focuses on
the sad faces of father, son and teacher.
